Since its inception in 2007, Arise has positioned itself as a well-known player in Sweden's renewable energy sector. Arise was one of the first listed onshore wind companies in Sweden and ourobjective is to serve as a reliable partner for investors in renewable electricity production, contributing throughout the project life cycle.
Arise's journey began as an early pioneer in the onshore wind industry, facing a landscape where turbine technology and cost-efficiency were not as advanced as they are today. The company strategically adapted, expanding from production to development, enabling the flexibility to either retain or sell projects.
Arise underwent a strategic shift in 2014, leading to the sale of ready to build project rights and joint ventures, including one of Europe's largest wind farms, Jädraås, in 2019. This transformation resulted in a recapitalised position for Arise, emerging with a healthier balance sheet and enhanced growth potential.
2022 saw the sale of our largest and most profitable project to date and laid the foundation for our new growth strategy, enabling Arise to focus on leveraging its core competencies and expand into new technologies and markets. In 2023 Arise completed a strategic acquisition of a majority stake in the Finnish developer Pohjan Voima, the Norwegian / Ukrainian developer Fenix Repower and launched its first dividend and share buyback programme to investors as a further signal of our financial strength.
