Social responsibility

One of the most important resources in the company’s development is our remarkable team of employees. Arise is an employer that prioritizes employee well-being. We strive for equality and diversity and do not tolerate any form of discrimination. Arise’s success is due to fostering an inclusive and helpful culture based on personal responsibility, cooperation and development opportunities, all within a positive working environment.

We have a zero-vision for accidents and work-related illnesses. We require our contractors and suppliers to comply with all applicable laws and regulations and have good working conditions, which we audit during a projects’ lifespan.

Through responsible efforts in health, safety, and work environment, coupled with consideration for the local community, Arise contributes to the UN's sustainability goal Number 3 - Good Health and Well-being, Number 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth and number 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.

Work environment

At Arise, we prioritize providing a good, safe, and stimulating workplace where our employees thrive. We actively invest in the well-being and personal development of our team through both collective and individual wellness initiatives, alongside regular skills-enhancing training

Arise sees the employees’ high-level and specialized skills as fundamental to our business’s success. Our annual employee survey provides insights into our team’s satisfaction and workload and we use the findings from this survey to implement positive changes across the business, further demonstrating our commitment to our employee’s well-being.

Arise's commitment to respecting human rights and labour rights applies to everyone involved in our operations, employees, contractors and suppliers. Our Supplier Code of Conduct is based on the principles of the UN's Global Compact, where it is clearly stated that no form of child labour, forced labour, threats of violence or other violation of human rights may occur.

Health and safety

Arise's dedication to health and safety permeates throughout our operations, fostering a culture of well-being within our expanding team.

We prioritise the physical and mental well-being of our employees. The construction and operation of energy facilities involve both physical demands and risks, requiring meticulous planning for the work environment, health, safety, and crisis management. By stating our zero-accident vision, we prioritize safety not only within our facilities, but also at the projects we manage.

In material production and transportation, our business agreements and our Suppliers Code of Conduct underscore the importance of health and safety and fostering collaborative relationships. Both construction and operation adhere to comprehensive plans for HSE (health, safety, environment), guiding risk assessments, communication strategies, and facility visits. Continuous reporting ensures proactive measures for deviations, complemented by regular employee training in fire safety and working at heights. Similar standards extend to our contractors, emphasizing a shared commitment to safety.

Impact on the local community

The expansion of wind power and energy facilities inevitably brings change to nearby residents and communities. Construction and transportation activities can create local perceptions of noise or intrusion, impacting local activities. Arise seeks to adapt projects to address local conditions, nurturing understanding, and ensuring engagement within the community.

Throughout a projects’ lifespan, we prioritise communication with the local community, landowners, and community associations, aiming for the community to view the establishment of energy facilities positively. This approach emphasizes the importance of tailoring our initiatives to harmonize with the unique characteristics of each community, fostering a positive and collaborative relationship. Many of our projects contribute financially to local community development funds, which benefit local projects and promote community growth. The establishment of energy facilities generates income and employment opportunities, engaging nearby businesses during construction and beyond.

At Arise, our commitment extends beyond energy development; it encompasses building a secure relationship with the communities we work in.

Arise's expansion of renewable energy strengthens local infrastructure, which supports people's well-being, economic development and employment opportunities in line with the UN's goal number 9 - Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, in the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
