Segment Overview
Arise's portfolio consists of 11 wholly owned wind farms located in southern Sweden, generating approximately 430 GWh annually. These wind farms are located in price areas SE3 and SE4, typically the high-price areas of Sweden. This geographical location offers additional advantages, such as reduced disturbances due to natural forest barriers, which help minimise noise, shadow flicker and visual impact.
In 2019, Arise instructed an independent third party to assess potential extension of the economic lifespan of these wind farms, increasing their lifespan from 25 to approximately 30 years. This extension not only enhances the longevity of electricity generation at existing facilities but also positively impacts the implied asset values with minimal additional investment required.
Strategic Investments and Project Expansion
Arise expanded its production capacity with the investment in the wind power project Lebo in Västervik, which added 33 MW of capacity, corresponding to approximately 90 GWh in annual production, to price area SE3 in 2024.
In addition, the company made a strategic investment in the Kölvallen project, acquiring a 9% ownership stake. The project contributed 277 MW of capacity to price area SE2 in 2025.
Including Arise's ownership in Kölvallen, the company's total annual production corresponds to the average household electricity consumption of approximately 103,000 homes.
