Recipients of VinnVind funds from Sørfjord Wind Farm 2026

VinnVind funds are awarded annually by Sørfjord Vindpark AS, owned by Energy Infrastructure Partners (EIP) and Fortum. The funds shall support local initiatives that promote sports, culture, youth activities and environmental measures around the Tysfjord area. The aim is to support local development and increased activity, while enhancing the attractiveness of living, working, and visiting the areas surrounding Sørfjord Wind Farm.

VinnVind Fund Allocation

A total of NOK 890,000 has been allocated to ten initiatives across the municipalities of Narvik and Hábmera–Hamarøy. The allocation proposal has been approved by Sørfjord Vindpark AS. The VinnVind fund for 2026 is awarded to the following:
NOK 2,500 is awarded to Bibliotekets venner/Storjord samfunnshus AS for the purchase of yearbooks for Tysfjord.
NOK 2,500 is awarded to Bibliotekets venner/Storjord samfunnshus AS for cultural events.
NOK 10,000 is awarded to Kjøpsnes hageklubb for planting activities in Kjøpsvik town centre and a sunflower competition.
NOK 15,000 is awarded to Kjellvika Grendelag for restoration and upgrade of outdoor toilet.
NOK 20,000 is awarded to Kjøpsnes skytterlag for the installation of a partition wall to reduce noise levels.
NOK 40,000 is awarded to Måske Dåjma – Musken Aktivitet for the activity week “Måsskeståhkusa/Muskenlekan“, and the football tournament MåsskeCup / MuskenCup.
NOK 100,000 is awarded to Trivsel i bygda for outdoor area and sauna facility.
NOK 100,000 is awarded to Turgruppa Kjøpsnes IL for shelter at the Stortindrampen viewpoint.
NOK 100,000 is awarded to Bjørkvik aktivitet for safety measures at the football field.
NOK 100,000 is awarded to Storfjord Samfunnshus for roof restoration.
NOK 400,000 is awarded to Sørfjordfjellet Tur og Hyttelag (STH) for outdoor recreation measures, such as construction of a new cabin at Kjerringvatn.

About Sørfjord Vindpark

Sørfjord wind farm is located in Narvik Municipality, in the northern part of Norway. The wind farm consists of 23 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 99 MW. Arise is responsible for the technical, financial and commercial management of the wind farm. Read more here.
