VinnVind funds are awarded annually by Ånstadblåheia Vindpark AS, owned by Energy Infrastructure Partners (EIP) and Fortum. The funds shall support local initiatives that promote sports, culture, youth activities and environmental measures. The aim is to support local development and increased activity, while enhancing the attractiveness of living, working, and visiting the areas surrounding Ånstadblåheia Wind Farm.
A total of NOK 650,000 has been allocated to eight initiatives in and around Sortland municipality. The proposed allocation has been approved by Ånstadblåheia Vindpark AS. The VinnVind fund has been awarded to the following:
NOK 5,000 is awarded to IFT Taekwon – do Nord for summer school, weeks 27-28.
NOK 10,000 is awarded to Holmstad grunneierlag for outdoor recreation by Hornvannet, including a fire pit and improvements to the nearby road/path for easy access.
NOK 10,000 is awarded to Eidsfjord Blandakor for concerts in Eidsfjord, Storvik and Lamarktunet.
NOK 15,000 is awarded to Sortland Orienterings lag for inclusion measures for refugees, including the organisation of several learning-based events, as well as activity equipment.
NOK 20,000 is awarded to Kulturbryggeriet for roller-skating discos at Sortlandshallen.
NOK 100,000 is awarded to Jennestad Samfunnshus SA for roof replacement and insulation improvements of the community hall.
NOK 240,000 is awarded to Sortland Alpinklubb for service facilities, ski rental, changing and storage.
NOK 250,000 is awarded to Sortland turnforening for the development of a dedicated gymnastics hall, creating a year-round training and activity facility for gymnastics while supporting multiple sports and youth activities in the Vesterålen region.
Ånstadblåheia wind farm is located in Sortland municipality, in Nordland, Norway. The wind farm consists of 14 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 50MW. Arise is responsible for the technical, financial and commercial management of Ånstadblåheia wind farm. Read more here.
