Nygårdsfjellet

Nygårdsfjellet

Nygårdsfjellet wind farm is located in Narvik municipality, in northern Norway, approximately 20km northeast of Narvik and 13km northwest of Riksgränsen. The 14 wind turbines are located around one of the reservoirs in Nygård power plant, Skitdalsvatn. The area consists mainly of mountainous terrain with open spares and barren vegetation.

The construction of the wind farm was carried out in two stages, of which the first 3 turbines were commissioned in 2006 and the last 11 in 2011. The grid connection is via underground cable to the grid station in the park.

Arise is responsible for the technical, financial and commercial management of the wind farm.
