Ranasjö- & Salsjöhöjden

Krange

Ranasjö- & Salsjöhöjden wind farms, also known as Twin Peaks and Krange, are developed by Arise and are located in the area between Näsåker-Ramsele and Näsåker-Edsele in Sollefteå municipality. Arise is responsible for the technical and commercial management of the wind farm.

The wind farms were commissioned in April 2024 and consist of a total of 39 wind turbines, of which 25 are located in Ranasjö and 14 in Salsjö. Ranasjö- & Salsjöhöjden are estimated to produce energy equivalent to household electricity for approximately 127,000 households annually.

The grid connection is via an overhead cable to the substation in Betåsen, which is located northwest of Näsåker. The area consists mainly of hilly woodland.
